Tim Lawrence

TIM LAWRENCE is a highly experienced, global operations leader with a proven track record of driving dramatic performance improvement in the areas of cost, quality, customer fulfillment, asset efficiency, EHS, network integration and optimization. He has deep knowledge and experience with Lean Enterprise transformations.

Mr. Lawrence has a proven track record of executing complex acquisitions, integrations and transformation activities. He has consistently demonstrated a keen ability to quickly identify key strategic and operational levers and follow that with rapid execution of changes required to achieve full performance potential. He is a highly disciplined, focused and strategic operations leader dedicated to creating “performance cultures” capable of sustainable excellence and improvement.

Mr. Lawrence most recently served as the SVP of Global Operations at Hillrom Corporation where he had total business responsibility for a global operations network spanning 7 countries and 21 manufacturing facilities.  His responsibilities included quality assurance, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, sourcing, supplier management, EHS, supply chain planning and fulfillment, network optimization, sustaining product engineering and the company’s Operations Management System.  This scope included 5K employees with a production value of $1B, annual capital expenditure management of $100M and supply chain costs of $80M.  Mr. Lawrence led the transformation of Hillrom Operations from an under-performing function at the company to a top quartile performer.  

Prior to Hillrom, Mr. Lawrence served as the SVP of Global Operations at Baxter International where he was responsible for manufacturing, supply chain and sourcing operations spanning 30 countries and 57 facilities.  He had executive level responsibility for Baxter’s Environmental, Health and Safety function and led Baxter’s Manufacturing Council, which engaged the company’s manufacturing executives and key functional partners in identifying and addressing critical worldwide strategic manufacturing and supply chain issues.  Mr. Lawrence led the transformation of Baxter’s operations from various, inconsistent approaches to operational excellence to a single, methodical and consistent Operations Management System (based on Lean Enterprise principles) that enabled horizontal learning and a scalable approach to improvement across the organization’s vast manufacturing and supply chain network.     

Mr. Lawrence has led, successfully transformed and dramatically improved the holistic performance of two significant Fortune 500 manufacturing organizations.  His domain experience, characterized by expert knowledge in Lean Enterprise transformations, and his personal passion and focus on leadership development and Extreme Ownership has been pivotal to the performance improvements at both Baxter and Hillrom. 

Mr. Lawrence holds an MSM in Management from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management where he was distinguished as a Krannert Scholar.  He also has a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
